Message piston->bore tolerances, shorter skirts - i.e. an engine that sounds like a child's play toy. This was seen in an engine from Z1 and it was not delivered to the customer because of this. Ross pistons replaced the wiseco's and there is no more issue.

I'm actually suprised by Wiseco's lack of attention to detail with their pistons. I've used wiseco forever as I used to build/race motocross back in the day and their pistons were regarded as some of the best you could buy - that was, up until recently (for me). With the competition as fierce as it is in this industry there is no excuse for resting on your laurels - attention to detail is what seperates the people who make things happen and those who just talk about what happened. The Ross pistons actually look to be a better design, they were marked and they dont make any raquet.
